They charge credit price when using a gift card. This is a rip off! Credit cards charge companies 3-5 cents/ dollar for "convenience", gas companies pass this cost along. Fair enough. But there is no surcharge for gift cards. Nothing to pass along. Just charging one group of cash customers a higher price than other cash customers. Way back when I was in college, this was called "price discrimination", and it was illegal.
