Don’t waste your time. We looked at few nice pieces of jewelry, and the saleswomen strongly encouraged me to sleep on it rather than make the decision right then. So the next day I came back to purchase it when the manager claimed to have lost the very piece we wanted to buy. Lost it, really? They didn’t even try to sell me something different; but they would call me as soon as it turned up. I was later telling this story to a family member, and she said the exact same thing happened to her; the staff had “lost” the piece she wanted to buy too! Two lost pieces in the same small family, this is not a coincidence. Who knows why they would do this? Maybe we are too brown for them, or our cars aren’t shiny or new enough, or maybe I wasn’t wearing my tux that day. The store is located right at the edge of River Oaks so perhaps they are just quietly snobby. Don’t know, don’t care. So if you have the means to buy a nice piece of jewelry without the need for financing or any other complications, don’t waste your time at Tenenbaum. You might not be the right kind of customer either.
