How often would you take a car to a mechanic and trust them enough to say "fix whatever needs fixing"? That's what we did with new-to-us cars for my son and daughter, and I was very happy with what they recommended to fix. It was appropriate and cost effective, and below what I had expected.
Gierisch has always been very good with our cars, and often have advised that work that other places have recommended is unnecessary. I once took my car in for a leaking washer fluid container (est at $250 by one place) and walked out from Gierisch with a $12 fee for a replaced hose.
Cannot think of a better local auto repair place than Gierisch.
