Wellspring Retreat and Bed & Breakfast

I describe this place to my friends as "magical." The peacefulness and complete sense of calm are perfect when you need to get away from the stresses of work and life. This was the 2nd year in a row that my husband and I stayed at Wellspring. I found it last year by accident when searching for a place to stay in Round Top, and I'm so glad I did! We like to attend the Shakespeare at Winedale plays (highly recommend if you're a Shakespeare fan), so late July and early August are times that we're in the area. I anticipate coming back again and again. Linda was out of town during our stay this time, but Sherri, labeled as "the best help in the world" on their info, proved herself to be exactly that. She took excellent care of us and provided a scrumptious breakfast! We met Linda last year, and she was very knowledgeable about the area (with suggestions of things to see and do) as well as telling us some of the history of the Depot. Speaking of The Depot, do yourself a favor and reserve it! I promise you won't be disappointed. The rooms are lovely, and even on a hot summer night, we went out on the deck and rocked back and forth while looking at the stars (we saw 4 meteors, the International Space Station, and several other satellites).
