I used to go to this Walgreens all the time to the point where I knew where everything was. So one day I go in and start walking directly to the section I needed which was right in front of the makeup . As I was a, woman started eyeing me. 10 seconds later an employee came up and told me I had to take my purse up to the front and leave it with them. She scowled at me while demanding this. I didn't understand why but complied. I then grabbed my items and went to the front. The other employer handed me back my bag and wanted to get my information. My name and number. I said no but she again insisted and I said no again. This seemed to displease her. I left and right then I realized that they had profiled me as a thief. Since I was walking with intent towards a section people stole from even though I wasn't getting anything from there and had been to this store many times. I have never felt so hurt to be thought of as a felon and I will never go back to this Walgreens since this is how they treat their customers.
The store is extremely clean and orderly. The staff is SO friendly. However... The pharmacy staff are some of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. Since I have relocated to Texas I have had to diligently stay on top of my prescription transfers and refills because the pharmacists are cold and unhelpful. Every time I have a question or concern I am spoken to on the phone like I am a pest. I work in customer service, so I make sure to watch how I speak to people when conducting business. I could understand being treated this way if I were rude and demanding. However, I always try to be kind and patient. The sentiments are not returned when I speak with them. It shouldn't take 3 phone calls to fill a birth control prescription. I will shop in the store.. however I will be transferring all of my pharmacy business to HEB. Please treat your customers better. It's frustrating to have been loyal to a company for 5+ years only to be treated like an annoyance. UPDATE: 1/23/18: Some new staff-- they seem MUCH nicer.
