We were unable to swim when we made our visit but as long as you remember to make a reservation and bring cash for the entry price you won't have a problem getting in to see the beautiful view.
I would recommend wearing sneakers but my friends and I all had sandals on and we didn't have too much of an issue walking around to check the place out. We just took the path from the car to the pool.
We spent about an hour here just to check it out and take pictures. Bring waters.
