I went in for lunch with my family and had been eager to check this restaurant out for a while. Two of us ordered the pan seared cod fish meal with lemon butter caper sauce, corn on the cob and mashed potatoes or red beans and rice. I ordered first and my cousin ordered the same thing, but was told there was no corn on the cob, so he'd receive a veggie medley of sorts. I wasn't told that, so I had to substitute my corn also for Caesar salad. Her failure to mention that was my first disappointment. When we received it, the fish was beer batter fried and tasteless and the sauce was a creamy gravy-like Creole sauce.... clearly not lemon butter caper sauce. When I asked the waitress what kind it was, she said lemon butter and I told her it wasn't... then she came back later to say the kitchen was out of the sauce and forgot to tell her. My cousin and I wanted red beans and rice (which was the ONLY thing tasty in my opinion) and he received gumbo. He asked for tartar sauce twice because the waitress failed to bring it the first time. My husband's catfish was fried a bit hard, and my sister in law was told she had to substitute her corn for hush puppies, and couldn't get red beans and rice and rice for her fried shrimp basket. That was an up charge, but she was ok with it. Overall, the people are nice....as well as the new manager I spoke with. However, the waitress was not the most attentive or knowledgeable about the menu, and the food was not up to par at all for a Cajun restaurant.
Amazing Food!! Service sucks ! Ordered Appetizers and had to get plates and silverware. I even poured drink refills for our table. Great dispapointment for Mothers Day lunch.. Service Gratuity already added to the bill. I'm so glad I drove from Houston to spend time with my mother on mothers day. Where I was forced to pay for bad service with Gratuity Added, worst business plan ever......
