Neiman Marcus Last Call

I will never purchase anything from "Needless Mark-Up" again. I wanted to send a gift to a relative that I knew loved pretzels. Neiman Marcus had some gourmet pretzels on their site that looked like something my family member would like. The site gave me the option to select the date I wanted the item delivered, so I naturally selected my family member's birthday. I should have known there would be a problem when one part of the site let me select the delivery date, but the check out area made it appear as if I had no options for delivery. The check out area also made it appear that even with overnight shipping the item would take nearly 2 weeks to deliver and would not make the delivery date I requested. I contacted customer service and they assured me that my request for the item to be delivered on Dec. 13 would be no problem, especially since I was placing the order on Nov. 26. Wow... to my surprise, I received an email today saying the item was delivered...hmmm, today is Dec 9, which is 4 days away from the person's birthday and requested delivery date. Now, I know it could be worse as the item could have been delivered late, but Neiman Marcus should NOT give you a delivery date option if they cannot follow through on their end and actually deliver on the date specified. I don't care how wonderful the item is and how great the price, I'd rather pay more for a service that I can trust.
