Monroy’s Mexican Restaurant

Had beef fajitas. Plate arrived, food swimming in oily liquid. I poured off quite a bit in a glass I got extra ice in. Beef was chewy, overall dish was salty & too peppery. These were NOT the same ol' Monroy's delicious fajitas! (Though manager said same recipe.) Rice was gummy, beans tasted very canned, dry & pasty. Ate maybe a quarter of fajitas, couple of bites of rice, one bite of beans. Remainders left there, wouldn't feed to a dog. Or a cat, & I don't care for cats. Friend got chicken fried steak. The kind they serve at schools, but with more gravy & still just above breaded hockey puck. Greasy fries weren't any better. She got chicken enchiladas instead. CANNED chicken seasoned with mexican spices & too much salt! She didn't eat it, or take home. One good thing we agreed on was that at least we didn't overeat this time. Oh, & our tea & the guac was good.
