Houston Permitting Center

Processing a sound permit Friday 03/16 for my group's charity event. There are two free parking lots available, and parking was busy but not too full on a Friday morning. Initially there was a misdirection from information desk regarding where to get the permit ( directed to 4th Fl instead of the supposedly 1st Fl) but got resolved quickly by helpful staff both on 4th floor and the other person from Information desk (that's why it's four stars instead of five stars rating - and the waiting time too!). Misdirection and a long waiting time (30+ minutes) was made up by the lady at desk 16 who was super nice, helpful and courteous. First words from her was "So sorry for the wait since...." and she proceed to do a great job to help me with the permitting. Wish all government offices can have people like her who is very knowledgeable on her job, very helpful and able to advise customers on what options that we have - and very nice and kind on top of that! Great customer service!
