All You Need Is Pets

The day I went to this store I was appalled. The store smelled of urine and excrement. I’m not talking about normal pet smell, but lack of cleaning smells. There were 9 ball pythons in the store housed about 9 different ways. A ball python on sand with bearded dragon poop still in the tank. Sand is not a good substrate for ball pythons. Two ball pythons housed in the same tank. This is dangerous and stresses both snakes out. They are not snuggling they are competing with each other for heat. They can turn on each other and even try to eat each other. Crested Geckos were housed together which is also bad husbandry. There were no hygrometers in enclosures to ensure proper humidity. I didn’t see a thermostat for safely controlling heat sources for reptiles that require heating. I walked through a majority of the store even back to the feeder room. I didn’t see a spot for reptile quarantine which should be happening.
